Walter is one of the most prominent figures in the design industry in the world and specifically in Italy.
He is the editor-in-chief of DOMUS, an Italian magazine for architecture, design, and art. A thinker turned pragmatist, he has focused his work on developing cultural products and tools. He believes that the essence of beauty is the result of a strict and deep relationship between soul and body, natural landscape and human craftsmanship. Today, he says, “we are all unconscious citizens in a world where it is harder to reset original contacts,” as a reflection of the ugliness of the world.
After graduating with a degree in theoretical philosophy from the University of Siena, he continued studying in at Louvin-La-Neuve and subsequently at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University. Following a few years as a researcher and visiting scholar, he started his career of directing media projects and magazines.
